I am a past chairman of the Rotary Rose Float Committee; the people who raise the money and enter a float in the annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.
This committee has successfully managed to accomplish this public relations activity for over 38 years. The question the committee faces today is how to more effectively utilize Social Media to create fans, advocates and donations for the project. Rotary International endorses the Rotary Rose Parade Float, but Rotarians in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean donate all of the money to pay for the float.
I will be facilitating a meeting in my office (2003 South Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia, CA) this Saturday morning (January 1, 2015) at 9:00 am Pacific Standard Time.
